The Heart Fund
This charitable arm was established to provide certain death and disability benefits to the
member, spouse, or dependent children when the member is killed or seriously injured in the
line of duty. Member beneficiaries will receive a death benefit payment when an officer is killed
in the line of duty and officers suffering a catastrophic or serious injury will also receive a
payment from the Heart Fund. Please contact the PBA at 1-800-733-3722 for more information.
Anyone can donate to the Florida PBA Heart Fund and help provide assistance to members and
their families.
One way to contribute to the Heart Fund and show your support for Florida’s law enforcement
officers is the PBA “Support Law Enforcement” license plate. A percentage of the revenue from
the sale of this specialty license plate is directly allocated to the Florida PBA Heart Fund. Visit
your county tax office to purchase a plate and support our law enforcement members.
