Florida PBA Legislative Efforts

The Florida PBA’s legislative team remains actively engaged with both House and Senate members to advocate for legislation that supports law enforcement and corrections personnel across Florida. Their efforts extend beyond session weeks, ensuring officers from local police departments, county sheriff’s offices, state law enforcement agencies, the Department of Corrections, and state probation are represented at every level of government.

Legislators frequently seek the PBA’s expertise, and team members regularly speak before committees and supply real-time, accurate information to lawmakers. By maintaining a presence during committee weeks, they are able to address emerging concerns and ensure informed decision-making on the House and Senate floors.

Through consistent collaboration with lawmakers, the PBA continues to shape policies that protect, support, and enhance the working conditions of Florida’s law enforcement community. Their advocacy remains a critical force in advancing pro-law enforcement legislation across the state.
