FLORIDA PBA BIG BEND CHAPTER PRESIDENT RICHARD MURPHY ANNOUNCES THE PBA’S ENDORSEMENTS OF CANDIDATES IN KEY TALLAHASSEE RACES

TALLAHASSEE– Following the completion of an extensive candidate screening process, Richard Murphy, president of the Big Bend Chapter of the Florida PBA has announced the union’s political endorsements of the following candidates:

  • Curtis Richardson for re-election to the City Commission Seat 2
  • Rudy Ferguson for election to City Commission Seat 1

“Every day, Tallahassee police officers sacrifice their personal safety as they work courageously to maintain public safety in every community throughout our city,” said Florida PBA Big Bend Chapter President Richard Murphy. Now more than ever, our members and their families need our local officials to support our efforts and to protect our rights as essential first responders so that together, we can make Tallassee a safe and vibrant city for all of our fellow residents. After a thorough political screening process, the Big Bend Chapter is proud to endorse Curtis Richardson for re-election to the City Commission Seat 2 and Rudy Ferguson for election to the City Commission Seat 1. Each of these outstanding candidates have consistently stood with our members and the men and women in the law enforcement community. Curtis Richardson has been a staunch PBA supporter for over 20 years and Rudy Ferguson will bring much needed common sense to the city commission to mitigate the continued demonization of law enforcement officers. Our members can depend on both of these outstanding leaders to continue to stand with us and advocate for us in the future.”
